By Keith Walsh
The duo of Douglas Gluth and Keith Moucha, going by the name Stereo Christ, bring an array of rock influences from classic British metal to hardcore U.S. punk using only bass guitar, drums and vocals. And that’s only their musical influences. Lyrically, Stereo Christ are inspired by classic horror, sci-fi and grindhouse, as well as adventures stories and stream-of-consciousness lyrics derived from events of everyday life.
In our brand new interview, Gluth and Moucha tell some of the secrets of their sound, about their creative processes, their gear, and their potentially offensive band name. Stereo Christ are located in Phoenix, Arizona, and have released two albums, 2023’s Stereo Christ and 2024’s The Art Of Driving Into The Sun, recorded by Jalipaz at Audioconfusion Studio In East Mesa, AZ. My review is also at Punk Rock Beat. Thanks to Doug and Moucha for the fun talk!
