A video can add layers of meaning to a song. WeirdWolves’ new vid for “Perfect Storm” has all the feels of a horror film or a dark fantasy, with a goth tonal palette and cool costume designs. There’s a story with Raf Colantonio’s character getting pulled into a mirror world of witchcraft where he’s seduced by Ava Gore’s character, but there might be a plot twist. Are things really as they seem? The cinematography is effective and at times gorgeous. Production of the video is by Eric Gustafson Cinematography.
As for the music, gritty guitar, pulsing synth bass and driving electronic drums carry the vocal duo of Colantonio and Gore perfectly. To find out more about their sound, here’s a recent interview: The Post Punk Side Of WeirdWolves.
