I’ve had the luck and pleasure to see a few of the bands featured on this new Spotify playlist live. In fact, it was getting back in touch with Robert Soto, drummer from the East LA band The Brat, that inspired me to continue work on this site a few years ago. I met Soto in 1981 when I saw his band play at Up Another Octave record store in Buena Park. We connected on Facebook a few years ago and even jammed together recently.
This playlist is not for the squeamish. But if you enjoy loud, rebellious fun and varying degrees of artistry, and most of all, screaming guitars, you’ll love this Spotify playlist.
