A two-minute song can make a powerful point, especially when the guitars come in loud for the climax. Written by 93FEETOFSMOKE , and co-written with Erik Ron (Taylor Swift, Set It Off, and nothing, nowhere), and Kanner, “Conversations” starts off like an introspective emo tune, only to erupt into a ferocious volley of electric guitar chords and roaring vocals.
It’s an appropriate sound for a song about the torment of self-doubt and self-blame. The performer known as 93FEETOFSMOKE is an adept and powerful vocalist, and drums by Juxtaposer and guitar by Lowtow (both pseudonyms for this person), are raw and energetic. The song was mixed by Ron, Anthony Reeder, and mastered by Joe LaPorta.
“Same old damn exchange/my body and my brain/tellling me that i don’t deserve anything I’ve worked for/ And the breath i’ve cut short/ Ain’t it funny How my mind gets in the way”
The video, directed by Blindlight, features effective use of lighting, interesting camera angles, special effects and images. VFX are by Matthew Brown, and David Torcivia is the colorist. 93FEETOFSMOKE are from Richmond, Virginia.
